UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Center for Faculty Development and Advancement (CFDA) invites program chairs, graduate program chairs, program directors, professors in charge, and others within the Penn State community who carry responsibilities in academic leadership to the October installment of the "SPARK: Supporting Program Advisors through Reflective Knowledge Sharing" series.
The session, titled "Managing Challenges: Addressing Student Concerns," will be held on Oct 23, from 1 to 2 p.m., and will focus on best practices for managing student concerns, handling conflict, resolving issues fairly, sustaining constructive communication, and maintaining trust between students and academic units.
The session will be led by John Coupland, undergraduate program coordinator in the Department of Food Science; and Todd Migliaccio, vice chancellor and chief academic officer at Penn State Berks.
