UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State World Campus is partnering with the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) to continue its efforts to make a Penn State education more accessible to the military community.
The partnership is through the AUSA’s Enhance Your Life program, which offers soldiers, AUSA members and their families a pathway to personal and professional development through online courses and credentials from colleges and universities across the country.
AUSA is a nonprofit educational association that supports and advocates for active-duty soldiers, guard members, reservists, civilians, retirees and their families. It publishes Army magazine.
Through the partnership, AUSA members and their families will gain access to a comprehensive selection of more than 200 flexible, online Penn State degrees and certificates.
“This partnership reflects our deep respect for the service and sacrifice of the Army community,” said Greg Bond, director of military education for Penn State World Campus. “We are proud to work with AUSA to provide flexible, career-relevant education that helps soldiers and their families achieve their goals on their terms.”
Penn State World Campus has been offering a Penn State education online since 1998 and is consistently one of the top-ranked institutions of online learning for the military.
The benefits and financial aid for military learners include an undergraduate grant-in-aid program and scholarships. Specially trained military support teams assist students during the admissions process, with financial aid and academic advising.
“The Association of the United States Army is proud to partner with Penn State World Campus,” said retired Sergeant Major of the Army Daniel Dailey, vice president of NCO and Soldier Programs at AUSA. “Through AUSA’s Enhance Your Life program, our partnership with Penn State World Campus provides soldiers, Army families, and veterans with flexible, high-quality online education opportunities designed to support lifelong learning and career advancement.”
The partnership with AUSA is the latest effort Penn State World Campus has made to support the military community and expand accessibility to higher education through online learning. World Campus has a partnership with the United Service Organizations (USO) to help service members transitioning to civilian life explore higher education. World Campus began accepting transfer credits in 2024 from the Community College of the Air Force toward a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership.
Penn State World Campus is highly ranked by organizations such as Military Times and U.S. News & World Report for the quality of its degree programs and the support services it provides to military and veteran students. The Pennsylvania National Guard Associations has also recognized it as a Guard-friendly school.
