'Juneteenth Emancipation: An Interactive Virtual Tour and History Experience'

Join for an engaging and interactive virtual experience exploring the history, meaning, and celebration of Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day. This interactive event will bring history to life through a combination of storytelling, historical exploration and engaging activities.
The program will spotlight influential historical figures connected to emancipation and the fight for freedom, including Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass and allies such as John Brown. Participants will also have the chance to virtually travel to Hampton, Virginia and Fort Monroe, where the Emancipation Proclamation was first read in the South.
Whether you are looking to learn something new, connect with fellow students, or honor this important moment in history, all are welcome to participate in this interactive, educational and community-building experience.
