UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Police and Public Safety (UPPS), in partnership with Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, has announced its second annual “Cram the Cruiser” donation drive event benefiting Toys for Tots. This community-focused initiative, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, aims to gather donations for local families in need during the holiday season.

Participants can drop off donations of new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages at the Bryce Jordan Center in front of Gate B. Penn State student-athletes and members of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity will be present alongside police officers to meet and greet attendees supporting the event.

“Events like ‘Cram the Cruiser’ truly exemplify the spirit of Penn State and the power of community involvement,” said Chief Wesley Sheets, associate vice president and chief of University Police and Public Safety. “We are proud to partner with Intercollegiate Athletics and look forward to making a positive impact together for local families this holiday season.”

Those who cannot attend the event may still participate by dropping off donations at University Support Building 1, the Steam Services Building, or the Athletics Administration Building through Friday, Dec. 5.

“We believe in the power of community and the impact we can make together,” said Meighan Julbert, assistant athletics director for student-athlete development and enrichment. “This event is a wonderful opportunity for our student-athletes to engage with the community while helping to make a difference in the lives of local families. We encourage everyone to come out, meet our student-athletes, and contribute to this worthy cause.”

The “Cram the Cruiser” event is part of UPPS and Intercollegiate Athletics’ ongoing commitment to community service and outreach. All donations will go directly to local families in need this holiday season.
