Penn State community reminded to use new mailing addresses for package delivery

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State community members are reminded to utilize their newly assigned building mailing addresses for all mail and package deliveries. These addresses were established as a result of the University Police and Public Safety (UPPS) 911 addressing project completed in 2024, providing official, standardized street addresses for campus buildings to enhance emergency response and support daily operations.

The new addresses are now mandatory for mailing purposes. The new addresses have been validated by the United States Postal Service, and older or informal campus addresses are no longer recognized by USPS or other delivery services such as FedEx, UPS and third-party delivery providers like Amazon. Mail or packages sent using outdated addresses may be returned to the sender, "misdelivered," or fail to arrive, and incorrectly addressed packages cannot be forwarded to the correct location.

To ensure proper delivery, the following mailing format must be used:

First Name, Last Name

Room # Building Name

911 Street Address

University Park, PA 16802

Students living on campus at University Park should use the guidance found here.

Addresses for buildings at University Park and Commonwealth Campus buildings can be found in FIS LionSpace, which is accessible for all Penn State faculty, staff and students. Commonwealth Campus community members also should check with their local campus for guidance, as mail delivery addresses/practices may differ by location.
