UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State students, faculty and staff, as well as local community members aged 18 and older, are invited to attend a free Brake Clinic hosted at the Bike Den. The clinic will be offered on two separate evenings — Tuesday, Sept. 23 and Tuesday, Sept. 30 — from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. each night.
Participants will learn to identify, install, and adjust various bicycle brake calipers (and their corresponding levers) including disc (cable and hydraulic), side pull, cantilever and V-brakes. Several examples will be present, and participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes for maintenance.
Preregistration is required for each event and can be done online at the Transportation Services website:
The Bike Den is located on the ground floor of the West Deck at Penn State's University Park campus.
