UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Transportation Services has announced a new payment method for visitor parking available at the on-campus gated parking decks at the University Park campus.
This payment method allows customers to pay on their phone when they return to their vehicle before exiting. This additional payment method has been put in place to facilitate a quicker and easier payment experience.
Visitors can use their phones to scan the QR code on the ticket received when entering the deck, then pay for parking and scan that same QR code at the exit kiosk. A QR code will also be available on the phone after paying for parking, which can also be used at the exit.
Payment must be done by credit card (Apple Pay and Google Pay are not yet available). A $0.26 transaction fee will be applied to all purchases through this platform.
