UNIVERSITY PARK. Pa. — Penn State’s Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) has announced the recipients of the New Faculty Recognition Award for the 2025-26 academic year. This award, established in 2025, recognizes new faculty at Penn State who have demonstrated a clear and ongoing commitment to enhancing student learning by actively engaging with TLT’s resources, events, consultations and programs.

By taking part in a variety of opportunities, including instructional consultations, faculty development sessions and initiatives focused on the use of technology in teaching, these new faculty members worked to develop their digital fluency skills with the goal of advancing teaching methods and student learning outcomes. TLT collaborated with IT Learning and Development and the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence to deliver content for some sessions.

“By investing in professional growth and embracing new educational technology tools during their first year, these faculty will explore new approaches, build confidence with instructional technology and connect with a community focused on student success,” said Angela Dick, acting senior director of Teaching and Learning with Technology. “Their commitment reflects the thoughtful and innovative teaching taking place across Penn State, and we’re pleased to celebrate their accomplishments.”
