UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Libraries has announced that nominations are now open for the 2026 Teaching and Learning with Technology Impact Award. Given annually, the award celebrates the accomplishments of a faculty member whose work transforms education through the use of technology over an extended period of time and influences more than one specific academic area.

The award seeks to recognize an individual Penn State faculty member who has a demonstrated history of developing projects, courses, collaborations or scholarship with innovative educational or instructional technology. Of particular interest are projects that have the potential to significantly improve teaching, learning and scholarship at Penn State and beyond.

The call for nominations for the 2026 Teaching and Learning with Technology Impact Award is open now through Friday, Oct. 17. All full-time Penn State faculty (tenure track or non-tenure track, term or no term and teaching faculty) are eligible for nomination. University faculty, staff and students are invited to submit award nominations, and self-nominations are welcomed and encouraged. The Teaching and Learning with Technology Impact Award is a recognized undergraduate teaching award and includes a commemorative medal, a $3,000 cash award, and additional support to increase the reach and impact of the recipient's work.

Larry Musolino, associate teaching professor of mathematics at Penn State Lehigh Valley, received the 2025 Teaching and Learning with Technology Impact Award.
