UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State will celebrate its 11th GivingTuesday on Dec. 2, and Penn State University Libraries invites alumni and friends to participate by showing support for its funds benefiting student well-being and the PSU Press Unlocked open access initiative.
The Student Well-Being campaign supports the Libraries’ ongoing efforts to champion programs, spaces, and resources that help students thrive academically and personally. Established in 2022, the Student Well-Being Fund enhances initiatives that promote physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual and environmental well-being. This year’s focus on intellectual well-being highlights programs that build literacy and confidence in navigating today’s complex information environment, including resources like the Libraries’ Gen AI module series and learning opportunities for students and faculty to engage critically with emerging technologies.
The Penn State University Press Unlocked campaign advances open access publishing through Penn State University Press’s growing digital collection of freely available books and journals. Currently featuring four open access journals and nearly 120 books, Penn State University Press Unlocked removes barriers to research by making scholarly content freely accessible to students, educators and readers everywhere.
