ID2ID+AI program enables collaboration for learning design community

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — In a shift from previous programming, Penn State has launched a new version of its popular ID2ID program for the University’s learning design community that focuses on artificial intelligence (AI).

ID2ID+AI, an AI-powered program provided by the ID2ID committee, is an initiative aimed at providing instructional designers with emerging AI skills and knowledge. The program is tailored to help participants stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving field of educational technology.

Program highlights for ID2ID+AI include:

  • Cutting-edge knowledge: Participants will discover the latest AI technologies transforming education, gaining insight into how these tools can be leveraged to enhance learning experiences.
  • Hands-on experience: The program offers practical exercises that allow participants to engage directly with AI tools and platforms.
  • Collaborative projects: Participants will work in pairs or small groups to create AI-enhanced instructional materials, fostering a collaborative learning environment and promoting the exchange of innovative ideas.
  • Expert insight speaker series: The program features sessions with AI experts who will provide information about their use of AI to help our community refine approaches to teaching and learning.
  • Networking opportunities: Participants will have the opportunity to connect with other instructional designers, expanding their professional network and building relationships that can support their career growth.
  • Showcase: The program provides participants with a chance to share their collaborative work with Penn State peers.
