UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Libraries’ Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) is accepting proposals for the 2026 TLT Symposium, which showcases ways technology can enhance teaching and learning in higher education. At the event, Penn State faculty and staff network with colleagues, share how they use technology in unique ways, and generate new project ideas.
The 2026 TLT Symposium invites proposals covering a broad range of topics on the valuable and innovative use of technology to support teaching and learning. This year, proposals are welcomed by anyone with an interest in sharing content from one of five topical tracks:
- Designing for Equity, Belonging and Resilience
- Innovations in Assessment and Learning Analytics
- Flexible and Future-Ready Course Design
- Immersive and Experiential Learning in Action
- Empowering Student Voice and Agency
Of note, there is no specific AI track because AI has been embedded into many aspects of teaching, learning and technology. Applicants are encouraged to continue to submit AI-focused proposals to the topical track that best fits.
To help ensure proposals are impactful, prospective applicants may attend one of two proposal webinars to learn how to design a proposal for the best chance of being accepted. All webinars will be held online via Zoom. Registration is required to attend one of the sessions below:
- Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1–1:30 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 16, 1–1:30 p.m.
The Request for Proposals is open now through Nov. 3. Presenters whose presentations selected will be notified in January 2026.
Individuals interested in receiving the latest symposium news and updates may join the TLT Symposium email list. For more information about the TLT Symposium or the Request for Proposals, contact tltsymposium@psu.edu.
