UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State students can now provide anonymous feedback on their courses through the Mid-Semester Student Educational Experience Questionnaire (MSEEQ), which will remain open through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 1.

The Student Educational Experience Questionnaire (SEEQ) and the Mid-Semester Student Educational Experience Questionnaire (MSEEQ) offer students an opportunity to share anonymous feedback with instructors about their learning experience, course structure and classroom environment. SEEQs, which are administered during the final weeks of the semester, play a role in how faculty teaching is reviewed by academic unit heads and instructional units.

Colleges, campuses and departments may request marketing materials for both the MSEEQs and SEEQs by contacting uecommunications@psu.edu. Instructors also can access a QR code on SharePoint to share with students during class.

The SEEQ, which replaced the Student Rating of Teaching Effectiveness (SRTE) in fall 2023, and the MSEEQ are key components of Penn State’s Faculty Teaching Assessment Framework. The framework was developed through the work of the University Faculty Senate. The Standing Advisory Committee for the Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness, which oversees implementation of the framework, will continue gathering feedback from the Penn State community to further improve both the MSEEQ and SEEQ.
