Student input sought for new classroom building gathering spaces

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Undergraduate students are invited to share their input on the gathering spaces that will be part of the large classroom building under construction adjacent to East Halls.

Blake Bergey, Penn State Information Technology's manager of learning applications and technologies, said he is putting together a small panel of students to share thoughts on seating, technology and other considerations for the building's non-classroom spaces.

"We want students to be productive and comfortable utilizing those spaces to study, gather and collaborate outside of class," Bergey said. "Our goal is to spend the University's money wisely by giving students what they want and will find useful."

Students should email Bergey at bab422@psu.edu by Sept. 26 to express their interest. Those selected will meet in early October with Bergey and his team in up to three face-to-face meetings.
