UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State students can discover career opportunities, connect with employers, and take the next step toward their professional goals during Fall Career Days from Sept. 16-17 at the Bryce Jordan Center.
More than 300 employers will participate in the fair, offering full-time, internship and co-op opportunities across many fields and industries. Each day will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with different focuses:
- Sept. 16: Internships and co-ops
- Sept. 17: Full-time roles
Employers participating in on-campus interviews will meet with student candidates at the Bank of America Career Services Building between Sept. 16 and 17.
“We are excited to welcome over 350 different employers to Happy Valley to recruit our talented Penn State students at Fall Career Days,” said Bob Orndorff, Career Services senior director. “This is approximately an increase of 60 employers that attended last year's fair. It's not often that students have access to hundreds of employers under one roof. To maximize this opportunity, students should develop a list of employers they want to meet, research each employer from our website (nittanylioncareers.psu.edu), and come ready to express how each organization's values align with their own values."
Students can prepare for Fall Career Days and other professional opportunities through various offerings and resources from Student Affairs’ Career Services office. The Professional Attire Closet provides students with one, free to keep, professional outfit per academic year. Students can also receive a free professional headshot for their LinkedIn profile or other professional materials at the photography studio. Both resources are available at the Bank of America Building from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Students can find more career readiness resources on the Student Affairs website.
Fall Career Days is a collaborative effort organized by Career Services and representatives from college career offices across the University.
