UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Flourish Fest, to be held Nov. 13 in collaboration with Penn State Student Affairs Wellness Units, is a great opportunity for students to learn skills to manage stress and strengthen their resiliency. This event aims to promote activities and resources that students can incorporate into their daily routines.
“Flourish Fest is more than a resource fair; it is an opportunity for students to try new strategies to help them manage the stress that often feels heightened towards the end of the semester," said Madison Cooper, community health educator with Health Promotion and Wellness, a unit in the division of Penn State Student Affairs. With the variety of units represented at the fest, students are guaranteed to find something that resonates with them.

On Nov. 13, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall of the HUB-Robeson Center, the fest will feature several hands-on stations where students can engage in various relaxation activities. Interactive activities for students at the fest include:
- Make a “Mind Jar”
- Plant a personal terrarium
- Make a collage in the craft corner
- Explore and identify emotions
- Create a sleep oasis
- Participate in a positive affirmation station
This is a drop-in event where students are encouraged to stay as long as they would like. Students will not want to miss out on the free resources, snacks, giveaways and quality conversations. More information can be found on the HPW events and programs webpage for this upcoming event.
