UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The HUB-Robeson Galleries present "Pour Piece," an exhibition of glazed ceramics by artist Ping Zhong. These ceramic vessels are on display in the Exhibition Cases through Nov. 30. Zhong’s collection explores the beauty found in everyday life and the transformative power of ceramic glaze.
Ping Zhong’s creative inspiration stems from two primary sources: the everyday lives of ordinary people and the transformative nature of ceramic glaze. These influences come together in a body of vessels that reflect a philosophical balance of simplicity, peace, and a quality that resonates deeply in today’s world. Zhong believes everyone deserves a life of peaceful simplicity. Each piece is distinct, shaped by the lineage of glazes and surface techniques that span thousands of years.
