Penn State hosts Spring 2026 Housing Fair on Feb. 5, with virtual fair to follow

Students and families can learn about housing options on and off the University Park campus

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State will host its annual Spring Housing Fair on Thursday, Feb. 5, from 1 to 4 p.m. in Alumni Hall, HUB-Robeson Center. The event is free and open to all students and families. No registration is required for the in-person fair.

A Virtual Housing Fair will also be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. Students and families planning to participate in the virtual event are encouraged to register in advance through the online form.

The fairs will provide comprehensive information about on- and off-campus housing options at University Park. Attendees can explore available properties, learn about lease terms and responsibilities, and speak directly with housing representatives to support their decision-making for the 2026-27 academic year.

Both the in-person and virtual fairs will feature housing vendors, many offering special discounts, giveaways, and prize drawings.

Students preparing to choose their housing for next year can also visit the Penn State Student Affairs housing page to learn more about on-campus processes, off-campus resources, and fraternity and sorority housing options, including timelines and next steps.

Penn State offers a wide range of services to help students make informed decisions about their living arrangements for the upcoming academic year.

  • The Housing Assignment Office oversees on-campus housing. Students currently living on campus are eligible to participate in the LiveOn Housing Process. Housing Assignment staff are available to answer questions about room selection, housing contracts, and timelines.
  • Off-Campus Student Support, within Student Care and Advocacy, manages the University’s off-campus housing classified website and coordinates the annual housing fairs. The office helps students and families understand the State College rental market, compare options, and approach their housing search with confidence.
  • The Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center, a unit of Student Affairs, provides financial education and individualized guidance to help students build a budget and plan for the costs of living on- or off-campus. Students can access workshops, one-on-one coaching, and online tools to support financial decision-making.
  • Student Legal Services, funded by the Student Fee and housed within Student Affairs, offers free lease reviews and legal consultations. Students can meet with an attorney before signing a housing agreement to fully understand their rights, responsibilities, and financial obligations.
  • A collaboratively developed, on-demand Tenant Rights module is available for students, parents, and families. The module provides essential information about Pennsylvania tenant laws, renter protections, and best practices for navigating landlord-tenant relationships.
