UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The annual Night of Remembrance vigil will be held at 6 p.m. April 30 at Eisenhower Chapel in the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on Penn State’s University Park campus.

The vigil will honor students who died during the 2025–26 academic year across all Penn State campuses. The event is open to students, faculty, staff and members of the broader community, and is intended to provide a space for reflection, remembrance and support.

The ceremony will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person. Family members of students being honored are also invited to attend.

The annual vigil is organized by the University Park Undergraduate Association, the Graduate and Professional Student Association, the Council of Commonwealth Student Governments, the World Campus Student Government Association and Penn State Student Affairs.

The program will include remarks from University administrators and student leaders, as well as reflections from students, faculty and staff. A candle-lighting observance will also be part of the event.

Messages will be included as part of the event and shared with families. Individuals who wish to share messages in remembrance of students may submit remarks in advance.
