Center for Arts and Crafts exhibition to feature student, instructor work

Artist and instructor exhibition will be showcased from March 27 through June 8 in the exhibition cases on the first floor of the HUB-Robeson Center

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — HUB-Robeson Galleries will present the Center for Arts and Crafts Artist and Instructor Exhibition from March 27 through June 8 in the exhibition cases on the first floor of the HUB-Robeson Center.

The exhibition features artwork by instructors and students from Penn State’s Center for Arts and Crafts, representing a range of classes and workshops. The annual exhibition highlights a variety of craft materials and techniques and reflects the ways artists learn from and influence one another.

The exhibition also emphasizes the role of craft in building connections among artists at different skill levels, offering a platform for creative expression and collaboration.

Featured instructors and staff include Sonya Aboud, Bea Barker, Hannah Beebe, Grace Cory, Autumn Gordon, Mandi Gatto, Stephanie Gush, Jason Huang, Sydney Killebrew, Amelia Ludwig, Emma Manwiller, Sarah Nelson, Erica Parsons, Ken Plattner, Gianna Spinelli and Maggie Tracht.

Featured participants include Rebecca Bussard, Elton Daley, Caylyn Hauser, Alexandra Higley, Mary Ogborn, Elsa Sanchez and Elena Yakhnina.

The Center for Arts and Crafts, a program within the division of Student Affairs, offers non-credit classes and workshops throughout the year in areas including pottery, drawing, watercolor, oil painting, stained glass, hand-built ceramics, crocheting and soap-making. Classes are taught by Penn State students, professional artists and individuals with specialized skills and experience.

In-person registration for May classes will open in late April, with registration for July classes opening in mid- to late June. Fall 2026 programs will begin in September, with registration opening Aug. 24.
