UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Travis Lesser has joined the Penn State Smeal College of Business Center for the Business of Sustainability (CBoS) as the director of curriculum and engagement.
Lesser, an instructor in Penn State Smeal’s Department of Management and Organization and program coordinator with the Farrell Center for Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship, has been teaching courses in entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship and responsible business leadership for the past several years.
“We are so excited that Travis will join us at CBoS,” said Suvrat Dhanorkar, director of the Center for the Business of Sustainability. “Travis brings a ton of experience and enthusiasm to the team. With Travis’s addition, we hope to make even stronger connections with our students and alumni. Looking forward to the new chapter.”
This strategic appointment underscores Smeal's commitment to advancing sustainability in business education and fostering meaningful touchpoints with important stakeholders in the broader community.
“I am very excited to begin working with Suvrat, Tracey (Mariner) and the rest of the CBoS team,” Lesser said.
“We are already planning some exciting things to increase both student and alumni engagement around sustainability in business. I plan to leverage my existing roles as coordinator of the Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship major as well as faculty adviser for our undergraduate chapter of Net Impact to create meaningful learning and career outcomes.”
