SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. — Penn State Schuylkill Athletics will welcome the community to its annual Volleyball Community Night on Wednesday, Oct. 14, featuring an evening of volleyball, activities and opportunities for fans to connect with the Nittany Lions.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with doors opening ahead of the 7 p.m. match, when Penn State Schuylkill takes on Penn State Scranton. Community Night is free and open to fans of all ages.
As part of the evening’s activities, children will have the opportunity to run onto the court with the team and participate in activities for a chance to win prizes. Following the match, fans can take photos with the players and get autographs.
Community Night is designed to bring local teams, athletes, families and volleyball fans together for an evening of competition and community connection. Area recreation leagues, middle and high school teams, adult leagues and other volleyball groups are encouraged to attend.
“Community Night is one of our favorite opportunities to bring people together through athletics,” said Kayla Felty, director of athletics at Penn State Schuylkill. “We’re excited to welcome families, teams and volleyball fans to campus to support our student-athletes and enjoy a fun evening together.”
Fans are encouraged to wear blue and white and cheer on the Nittany Lions as they face Penn State Scranton.
