SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. — Penn State will celebrate its 11th GivingTuesday on Dec. 2 — and Penn State Schuylkill invites alumni and friends to be a part of the event by making a gift to The Penn State Fund for Penn State Schuylkill, which supports the “Chancellor’s Choice: Supporting Students, Strengthening Campus” initiative.
The Penn State Fund for Penn State Schuylkill enables the campus to remain flexible and responsive to emerging needs while pursuing strategic opportunities that strengthen our community and keep it resilient and future-focused. While many gifts to Penn State are designated for specific purposes, contributions to this fund give the chancellor immediate, unrestricted resources and the flexibility to ensure sustained support for the people and programs that define Penn State Schuylkill.
True to Penn State GivingTuesday tradition, the celebration is kicking off early on Monday, Dec. 1, at 18:55 (6:55 p.m. EST) — a nod to the year in which the University was founded. Those interested in contributing to Penn State Schuylkill before December can make an early gift on Penn State’s GivingTuesday event page.
“GivingTuesday is an opportunity for our campus community, alumni, and friends to come together in support of our students,” said Cory Scherer, interim chancellor of Penn State Schuylkill. “Every gift makes a meaningful difference — whether it’s enhancing student resources, improving our facilities, or helping ensure that every student feels a true sense of belonging at Penn State Schuylkill. Together, these priorities uphold the vibrant, welcoming campus culture that makes our community truly exceptional.”
Gifts made on GivingTuesday advance the University’s historic land-grant mission to serve and lead. Through philanthropy, alumni and friends are helping students to join the Penn State family and prepare for lifelong success; driving research, outreach and economic development that grow our shared strength and readiness for the future; and increasing the University’s impact for families, patients and communities across the commonwealth and around the world.
