During the fall semester, a group of Penn State students spent time volunteering at the State College Food Bank assisting clients in the food pantry and helping manage inventory and donations. This experience, part of a new course, BBH 297: Community Engaged Learning for Diversity and Health, offered by the Department of Biobehavioral Health in partnership with the State College Food Bank, encourages students to think critically about health and equity in society and participate in opportunities to serve their community.

Penn State Schuylkill’s community enrichment cinema course, "Media, Manipulation, and the Demise of Public Discourse," will return in spring 2025, exploring the portrayal of mental health in film. The course includes screenings and discussions of four films, with pre-screening lectures and post-screening conversations. Classes will be held at 6 p.m. in Morgan Auditorium, with a $30 fee for community members and free admission for Penn State Schuylkill students, faculty and staff.
