Responsible Conduct of Research Awards to be presented at Research Ethics Day

Nominations from all fields and disciplines across the institution are encouraged by the deadline of Aug. 10

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Office for Research Protections has announced the launch of the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Awards, a new, University‑wide recognition program celebrating individuals who exemplify integrity, accountability and ethical leadership in research.

The RCR awards recognize individuals who demonstrate:

  • Ethical leadership in research design, conduct, analysis and dissemination
  • Commitment to RCR education, awareness and training
  • Efforts to promote an ethical, transparent and inclusive research environment
  • Impactful contributions that advance integrity, reproducibility and responsible scholarship

The four awards, each including a $500 monetary award, will be presented annually to honor outstanding contributions in the following categories:

  • Faculty Member
  • Staff Member
  • Graduate Student
  • Postdoctoral Scholar

This year’s awards will be presented on Sept. 10 at the Research Ethics Conference. For more information about the award and who can be nominated, see the Research Ethics Conference website. Nominations from all fields and disciplines across the institution. Submit nominations by Aug. 10.
