WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Pennsylvania College of Technology has appointed Kathleen M. Swank as director of residence life.
Swank succeeds Timothy J. Mallery, who retired in May. She began her duties earlier this month.
Swank comes to Penn College from Penn State, where most recently she was assistant director of residence life. Prior to that at Penn State, she was residence life area coordinator, residence life coordinator and summer conferences coordinator. Before her employment at Penn State, Swank worked at Mount St. Mary’s University, Emmitsburg Campus, as assistant director in the Office of Campus Activities and Student Leadership. Her graduate work experience includes positions at the University of Missouri and Emory University, and she was employed as an undergraduate at the University of South Carolina.
Swank holds a master of education in educational leadership and policy analysis, emphasis in higher education, from the University of Missouri, and a bachelor of arts in mass communications, emphasis in public relations, minor in leadership studies, from the University of South Carolina.
