UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — WPSU is asking Pennsylvania students in kindergarten through 12th grade to submit their poems for the 2026 WPSU Poetry Writing Contest. Winning poets will be given the opportunity to read their work on air during an episode of “Poetry Moment,” an FM radio program highlighting poets from across the commonwealth.
Poems can be submitted online within four divisions: kindergarten to second grade, third to fifth grade, sixth to eighth grade and ninth to 12th grade. Entries will be regionally reviewed, and winners will be selected by “Poetry Moment” host Marjorie Maddox.
The submission deadline is Saturday, Feb. 28. Visit the WPSU contest webpage to register and view competition guidelines.
