WPSU is nominated for three NATAS Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy awards

"The Chance to Wrestle" follows athletes from around Pennsylvania as they vie for coveted state titles in the inaugural season of girls high school wrestling. UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — WPSU has received three Regional Emmy Award nominations from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS).

WPSU programs given the nod include “The Chance to Wrestle,” “Culinary Connections: Food is Our Love Language” and “Healing the Red Mo.” The Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Awards honor excellence in television news, programming and individual achievement in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

"We are honored to receive recognition of our work at this prestigious level. Everyone at WPSU contributes to the success of our productions and we look forward to continuing to produce content that is engaging, educational, and represents a variety of audiences within the University community and beyond,” said Mindy McMahon, director of production for WPSU and executive producer of “The Chance to Wrestle.”

The winners will be announced during the 43rd Annual NATAS Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Awards Ceremony on Sept. 20 at the Marriott Downtown Philadelphia.
