Speakers, schedule of events announced for TGIF 2025 in Pittsburgh, Nov. 3-5

The conference aims to foster economic development, social mobility and positive impact through education and innovation

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State’s The Global Impact Forum (TGIF) 2025, to be held Nov. 3-5 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, aims to bring prominent leaders in education, industry, government and community together in a conversation about workforce readiness in the age of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation.

Justin Aglio, associate vice president for Penn State Outreach and executive director of the Readiness Institute at Penn State, said the agenda for TGIF 2025 is aimed at fostering economic development, social mobility and positive impact through education and innovation.

“This forum will unite educators, industry leaders, community partners, government officials, investors and youth around a shared table to shape solutions that prepare people of all ages for success in a rapidly changing workforce,” Aglio said. “TGIF attendees will leave inspired with actionable ideas to advance impact in classrooms, boardrooms, communities, investment strategies or policy platforms. New this year, TGIF is collaborating with organizers of Future of Work Faculty Association, Pittsburgh Tech Week and Robotics and AI Discovery Day to amplify this cross-sector experience and expand the reach of this unparalleled convening.”

TGIF 2025 will feature more than 150 speakers and include more than 80 keynotes, panels, workshops, design-thinking studios, student spotlights, an idea expo and other sessions. The forum is open to educators, students, professionals, workforce and community leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs committed to shaping the future of career readiness.

Presenters will include:

  • Jerome Bettis – Pro Football Hall of Famer, entrepreneur and philanthropist
  • Jose Garcia – co-chair, senior program officer and interim director of the Future of Work(ers), Ford Foundation
  • Esther Wojcicki – journalist, educator, “Godmother of Silicon Valley”
  • Patrick Methvin – director of education, post-secondary success, Gates Foundation
  • Todd Underwood – head of reliability, Anthropic
  • Kendra Ross – head of social impact for Duolingo
  • Roberto Clemente, Jr. – CEO for RCJ Global Impact
  • Earl Cole – founder and CEO of The SMART Tire Company; winning contestant of CBS’ Survivor: Fiji
  • Slava Rubin – founder and managing partner at humbition; founder of Vincent; and co-founder of Indiegogo
