UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Faculty and instructional staff at Penn State’s Commonwealth Campuses are invited to attend the fifth annual Commonwealth Connections: Instructor Days (CCID) on Aug. 12 and 13, a virtual event offering practical, research-informed strategies to enhance teaching, foster student engagement and support academic success.

Launched in 2020 in response to the shift to remote learning, CCID has grown into an annual professional development event that supports reflective teaching practices and cross-campus connections. This year’s edition will feature 25 faculty presenters from 11 Commonwealth Campuses.

“Instructor Days is a space where faculty can engage in the kinds of meaningful conversations about teaching that often happen informally in hallways,” said Elizabeth Huck, director of statewide instructional design for the Commonwealth Campuses. “Especially for instructors who may be the only one in their department on a campus, this event offers a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues teaching similar courses.”
