UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center will hold two public webinars in February, with “All About Taxes” at noon Feb. 4 and “Insure Your Future” at noon Feb. 18.

"All About Taxes” will provide participants with insights and information on how taxes work and share basic information to assist with filing. Annual tax updates and “must-knows” regarding the current tax landscape also will be addressed.

The “Insure Your Future” webinar will provide valuable insights on how to utilize insurance to handle life’s unexpected financial curveballs: car accidents, apartment issues, health emergencies and more. Insurance helps protect against setbacks and keep finances on track for the future. This session will explore the types of insurance most relevant to students, like health, renters and car insurance, while providing practical tips on selecting the right policy, saving money, filing a claim and avoiding common mistakes.

A list of webinars open to the public, including the series’ Zoom registration link, can be found at the program's website.

Self-study modules are available here from “MoneyCounts: A Penn State Financial Literacy Series.”

The Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center offers services to the entire Penn State community and is part of Penn State Undergraduate Education.
