UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Students interested in entrepreneurship have the opportunity to network with like-minded peers, faculty and student organizations at the CommunENTI networking event, hosted by the ENTI (Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minor program) Ambassadors from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The event will be held on the sixth floor of the Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub.
The third annual CommunENTI aims to promote the Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ENTI) minor program and provide students with the chance to learn from and connect with several entrepreneurship clubs and organizations, faculty and directors in the ENTI minor and CIENT (Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship) major program. Some organizations that will be featured include Happy Valley LaunchBox, Nittany Entrepreneurship Society, CommRadio, Happy Valley Comm, the Blue and White Society and HackPSU.
Attendees will also have the chance to hear from student startups about their progression from forming ideas in ENTI classes to professional success, learn more about finding a team to be part of a Startup Week powered by PNC challenge, and sign up for a tour of OriginLabs, the makerspace in the Eric J. Barron Innovation HUB.
“Our ENTI Ambassador team is so excited for our third-annual Join a CommunENTI event! Last year, we were thrilled to have 200+ attendees. This year, we are so excited to keep growing and welcome new students to the incredible entrepreneurship ecosystem here at Penn State in an upbeat, inclusive way,” said Lucy Bickel, lead ENTI ambassador.
Similar to last year’s event, attendees can take advantage of these opportunities in a casual, drop-in style, coming and going as they please. The evening will also offer food from Webster’s Café and Bookstore and Penn State Berkey Creamery ice cream.
