UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Invent Penn State’s "Dare to Disrupt" podcast will celebrate its 50th episode with a live episode recording featuring Penn State alumna, creative entrepreneur, content creator and professional perfumer Asia Grant on Thursday, April 9, at Struthers Auditorium in the Smeal Business Building.

Advance registration is required to attend, and is free and open to the public.

The milestone event will bring together students, alumn, and community members for an evening of conversation, entrepreneurship and networking. The program will begin with a fireside discussion between "Dare to Disrupt" host Ryan Newman and Corey Phelps, John and Karen Arnold Dean of the Smeal College of Business, followed by a live podcast recording with Grant and an audience Q&A.

During the live recording, Grant will share her experience building a fragrance and lifestyle brand in New York City. A graduate of the Smeal College of Business and Schreyer Honors College, Grant’s return to campus reflects the continued impact of Penn State alumni on entrepreneurship and innovation.

Following the recording, attendees are invited to a reception in the Smeal Atrium featuring food, drinks, networking, student startup pitches and an interactive prototype showcase. Guests will have the opportunity to connect with student entrepreneurs developing ventures through programs at Happy Valley LaunchBox powered by PNC Bank. A video will also be on display highlighting current students as they build a physical prototype of the Dare to Disrupt logo at OriginLabs.
