UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Under a picture perfect late summer afternoon, the No. 2-ranked Nittany Lions easily handled the visiting Nevada Wolfpack, winning 46-11.
The game also marked a historic first for the Blue Band, which saw the debut of its first female drum major in Ellie Sheehan from Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Sheehan is the first female drum major in the band's 125-plus-year history, and nailed the signature flip at the start of the game.
