UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The men's volleyball team clinched the EIVA regular season title and a perfect conference record this past weekend with a pair of wins over George Mason at Rec Hall.
The Nittany Lions will host the EIVA Tournament, which is set for April 22-25 at Rec Hall. Penn State earned the top seed and a bye to the semifinal round with a 20-7 overall record and 12-0 in conference.
Penn State will face the winner of No. 4-seed Charleston versus No. 5-seed Sacred Heart.
With the win on April 17, Penn State head coach Mark Pavlik moved into sole possession of third place on the NCAA all-time wins list across all divisions in men's volleyball. Pavlik's 713th victory moved him past Ohio State coach Pete Hanson. Pavlik is set to retire at the close of the season.
