UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — No. 3 Penn State women's ice hockey captured the program's fourth Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) tournament championship with a 3-2 victory over No. 12-ranked Mercyhurst on March 7 at Pegula Ice Arena at University Park campus.
The win was the team's 32nd of the season, setting a single-season program record for a second year in a row.
The Nittany Lions are seeded No. 3 in the 2026 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Tournament and will host an NCAA regional for the first time in program history.
Penn State will face the winner of No. 6 Connecticut versus No. 9 Princeton at 2 p.m. on March 14 for a spot in the Frozen Four at Pegula Ice Arena. UConn and Princeton will face off at 7 p.m. on March 12 at Pegula.
