PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Eight Penn State football players were selected during the 2026 NFL Draft, held April 23-25 in Pittsburgh. In addition, several Nittany Lions were signed as unrestricted free agents following the draft.
Players drafted included:
- Olaivavega Ioane, offensive lineman — Baltimore Ravens (1st round, 14th pick)
- Drew Allar, quarterback — Pittsburgh Steelers (3rd round, 76th pick)
- Drew Shelton, offensive lineman — Dallas Cowboys (4th round, 112th pick)
- Dani Dennis-Sutton, defensive end — Green Bay Packers (4th round, 120th pick)
- Zakee Wheatley, safety — Carolina Panthers (5th round, 151st pick)
- Nicholas Singleton, running back — Tennessee Titans (5th round, 165th pick)
- Zane Durant, defensive tackle — Buffalo Bills (5th round, 181st pick)
- Kaytron Allen, running back — Washington Commanders (6th round, 187th pick)
Penn State had eight NFL Draft selections for the 14th time in program history and first time since 2024. The Nittany Lions tallied six selections for the fifth time in the last six years.
Since 2018, Penn State has had 58 selections, its most in an eight-year span since 1987 to 1995. Since 2016, Penn State has had 28 players taken in the first two days of the draft and 67 selections overall.
A total of 403 Nittany Lions have been selected all time in the NFL Draft, which ranks seventh among Division I institutions.
In addition, seven players so far have signed with teams as unrestricted free agents, including:
- Nick Dawkins, offensive lineman — Baltimore Ravens
- Dominic Deluca, linebacker — Baltimore Ravens
- Khalil Dinkins, tight end — San Francisco 49ers
- Tyler Duzansky, linebacker — Las Vegas Raiders
- Trebor Peña, wide receiver — Jacksonville Jaguars
- Devonte Ross, wide receiver — Los Angeles Chargers
- Nolan Rucci, offensive lineman — Indianapolis Colts
