UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Institute of Energy and the Environment (IEE) is accepting nominations for its annual research award program. Three awards are available: the Translational Research Award, the Advancement of Knowledge Award and the Research Guidance Award. Each award-winning individual or team will receive $5,000 in discretionary research funds. The nomination deadline is Friday, Nov. 21.
Nominations may be submitted by current Penn State researchers or through self-nomination, which is encouraged. Tenure-line and non-tenure-line faculty at any Penn State campus are eligible. Full details about nomination packet requirements are available on the IEE website.
Now in its third year, the IEE research awards recognize Penn State researchers whose work advances interdisciplinary science and addresses critical energy and environmental challenges. The awards align with IEE’s research themes: Climate and Natural Systems, Health and the Environment, Integrated Energy Systems, Equitable Communities and the Built Environment, and Water Sustainability.
