ICDS Quantum Hub Student Poster Competition

12:00 PM - 5:00 PM / April 22, 2026

The Penn State Institute for Computational and Data Sciences' (ICDS) Quantum Hub is inviting undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in quantum research to submit a poster for the ICDS Quantum Hub Student Poster Competition on Wednesday, April 22, from noon to 5 p.m. The event will take place in the Bank of America Career Services Building 103ABC, Penn State University Park.

Registration and submission of an abstract is required to participate in this event. Deadline to register and submit is Sunday, April 19, by 11:59 p.m. Registrations and submissions received after the deadline will not be accepted. Spots are limited. Register via the Microsoft Form.

Selected poster presenters/authors are required to print their own posters and to attend the event in person. Awards will be given to the top three posters.

Posters are required to have a significant quantum component but are not limited to specific topics. The Quantum Hub welcomes submissions across a broad range of topics, including:

  • Quantum computing and quantum algorithms
  • Quantum machine learning and AI for quantum systems
  • Quantum hardware, devices, and materials
  • Quantum error correction and fault tolerance
  • Quantum communication, networking, and cryptography
  • Quantum applications in science, engineering, and medicine
  • Software, compilers, and system-level optimization for quantum computing
  • Interdisciplinary approaches to quantum science
