UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The foundational course in the Penn State Accessibility Learning Path, "Introduction to Accessibility," has been updated to focus more on identifying key concepts and providing simplified accessibility examples. The complete Accessibility Learning Path is also being migrated to a new platform, which supports Penn State single sign-on access.
All faculty and staff are encouraged to complete the course if they have not already done so. Additional courses in the Accessibility Learning Path include accessibility training tutorials on specific tools and technologies, including Microsoft Word and Canvas, and are designed to be taken after the introductory course. Many of these courses have also been recently updated and migrated or will be in the coming months.
No new participants will be able to register on the old system after noon on Feb. 13, and all courses being taken on the old system must be completed by May 1. However, certificates earned for courses will remain valid regardless of when they were received.
