UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State students, faculty and staff are encouraged to leverage the resources and amenities that are now available at the new Pollock Computer Lab.

After being closed in 2024, the Pollock Computer Lab recently has been renovated into a 72-seat computer classroom and 53-seat computer lab, which includes the following amenities:

  • University-owned computers
  • Privacy cubes
  • Collaboration tables
  • Adjustable-height desks
  • External, dual, and oversized monitors
  • Mobile whiteboards
  • Printers
  • Power outlets at every seat for personal devices

The Pollock Computer Lab is located in Pollock Building, near the Pollock Commons at the University Park campus, and will be available to students 24/7. However, from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., only Penn State students, faculty and staff with a valid id+ credential will be allowed entry.

This lab renovation is supported by Penn State IT and its access to amenities will provide a positive educational impact at University Park, especially as students prepare for final exams from Dec. 15-19. A grand re-opening event will be scheduled for a later date.

Additional Penn State computer labs can be found at locations throughout the University Park campus and also are available at all of the Commonwealth Campuses. To learn more, visit the Penn State IT website.
