LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus' library has partnered with the WAGGIN network, connecting public libraries across Washington, Greene, and Fayette Counties.

Through this program, residents with a WAGGIN library card can borrow books from the Penn State Fayette Library and request items from other Penn State University Libraries locations. Community members must first create a Penn State account at accounts.psu.edu to access these privileges. They will also gain access to Penn State’s library databases and electronic journals while on campus. Once registered, borrowers can manage all library materials using their Penn State account and WAGGIN card, eliminating the need to juggle multiple cards.

The WAGGIN partnership supports the PA Forward initiative, launched in 2012 by the Pennsylvania Library Association to position libraries as community hubs. By advancing basic, information, civic and social, health, and financial literacy, the initiative empowers Pennsylvanians to thrive in various aspects of life. Participating libraries earn bronze, silver, or gold star statuses based on the number and impact of programs they offer in these literacy areas.

To complete registration, community members must present their Penn State account information, WAGGIN library card, and a state-issued photo ID at the Penn State Fayette Library service desk. Borrowed materials have a 28-day lending period and may be renewed up to three times.

For more information about borrowing privileges, hours of operation, or other resources, visit libraries.psu.edu.
