Penn State’s employee assistance program, SupportLinc, launches updates

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Starting last week, employees who utilize Penn State’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider, SupportLinc, may have noticed some changes. The EAP offers additional emotional well-being and work-life balance resources to help employees manage their lives at work and home.

In addition to revisions to the look and feel of the SupportLinc platform, there are some new updates to the functionality of the web platform and mobile app to provide a more personalized and convenient experience.

The updates include:

  • Welcoming experience: The new customized dashboard allows users to see recommended resources and benefits tailored to their needs, based on their history.
  • Seamless care access: Users can now schedule appointments with licensed clinicians, care teams or peer groups directly through the app using the new scheduling tool.
  • Mental health check-ins: Quick, expert-developed assessments guide and support the user’s mental health and well-being.
  • Guided paths: Users can access step-by-step programs on topics such as easing anxiety, building resilience, and more to support every step of their mental health journey.
  • Mood tracking: Users can note their emotions through written exercises and receive content suggestions based on their unique needs.
  • Mindful practices: This feature can help users discover helpful breathing and grounding tools, with adjustable pacing and audio or visual guidance.
  • Smart notifications: Users can stay connected with customizable alerts for appointments, progress tracking and timely updates on current events.
