UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — University holidays for 2026, as outlined in Policy HR34, have been updated on the Penn State Human Resources website and are as follows:
- New Year’s Day: Thursday, Jan. 1
- For 2026, winter break was extended to include Friday, Jan. 2, and that day is considered a “Campus Closedown” day.
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Monday, Jan. 19
- Memorial Day: Monday, May 25
- Juneteenth: Friday, June 19
- Independence Day: Observed on Friday, July 3
- Labor Day: Monday, Sept. 7
- Thanksgiving: Thursday, Nov. 26
- The Friday after Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 27) is classified as a “Campus Closedown”
- Winter break: Dec. 24, 25, 28, 29,30, 31, and Jan. 1, 2027.
