UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — All eligible employees (Technical Service employees not included), non-Medicare retirees and their dependents enrolled in a Penn State health plan have free access to Hinge Health, a personalized virtual physical therapy program.
Anyone living with joint or muscle pain — or looking to prevent it — can sign up to start building healthier movement habits with 1-on-1 support from a dedicated physical therapist and health coach, all from the comfort of their home. The program’s clinician-developed exercises and stretches are fully personalized to each user's needs, targeting and relieving pain wherever it occurs. Plus, they are designed to be completed in 15 minutes or less at the user's convenience – anytime, anywhere.
As part of the Hinge Health program, qualified participants also have free access to the Hinge Health Enso, a wearable wireless device that reduces pain through gentle pulses. Eligibility to receive Hinge Health Enso is based on program placement and fulfillment of clinical eligibility criteria.
For lasting pain relief without the use of medications, Penn State faculty, staff and eligible dependents can take advantage of their access to Hinge Health. Whether for chronic conditions, flare-ups, pre- or post-surgery, injury recovery or simply developing healthy habits to prevent injury and pain, Hinge Health offers the tools and guidance needed to feel better and keep moving. Dependents enrolled in Penn State health plans must be invited to register themselves.
