Hospital recognized as a leader in neonatology in 'America's Best Children's Hospitals 2026'

HERSHEY, Pa. — Penn State Health Golisano Children’s Hospital has been recognized as one of "America’s Best Children’s Hospitals 2026" by Newsweek magazine and data and statistics platform Statista.

The annual ranking evaluates the top 50 children’s hospitals nationwide across eight specialties, and is based on a comprehensive evaluation that includes hospital quality metrics, patient outcomes and recommendations from healthcare professionals.The Children’s Hospital was recognized as a leader in neonatology.

“This recognition reflects our team’s unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional, family-centered care to our smallest and most vulnerable patients,” said Sarah Iriana, interim chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital. “Our neonatology program is built on collaboration, innovation and compassion, and we are proud to be recognized among the nation’s best.”

Penn State Health Golisano Children’s Hospital provides a full range of pediatric services, including advanced neonatal intensive care, specialty care and access to clinical research through Penn State College of Medicine. The hospital’s Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offers the highest level of care for premature and critically ill newborns, serving families across central Pennsylvania and beyond.
