HERSHEY, Pa. — Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center has been named among the top 50 hospitals in the United States in Newsweek’s recently released “World’s Best Hospitals 2026.”
Milton S. Hershey Medical Center ranked third in Pennsylvania and 48th overall. The hospital was also recognized as a leader in infection prevention and patient experience.

Newsweek partners with Statista, a global market research and consumer data firm, to produce the ranking.
This year, more than 2,500 hospitals were evaluated across 32 countries based on four data sources:
- Recommendations from medical experts
- Hospital quality metrics
- Existing patient experience data
- Findings from Statista’s Patient-Reported Outcome Measures Implementation Survey
