MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Humanities will showcase campus talents through several productions in November.
Fall play: “Noises Off”
The fall play, “Noises Off,” will be presented Nov. 4-7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre in the SEC Building on campus, with a sensory-friendly performance offered Nov. 7 at 2 p.m.
The play, written by Michael Frayn, presents a chaotic group of travelling actors rehearsing a play called "Nothing's On." With slamming doors, behind-the-scenes drama, and even a misplaced fish, the actors struggle to keep the show running. Combining mockery and homage to theatrical traditions, Frayn fills this play-within-a-play with stock characters, absurd situations, and nonstop comedy. This production is directed by Jeff Luttermoser.
The play contains some adult content. Tickets are $10 plus fees for general admission and $5 plus fees for Penn State Harrisburg students, faculty, and staff. Ticket information can be found on the box office website.
Fall concert: “Santa! Music Celebrating the Man in the Red Coat”
The School of Humanities will also present the fall concert titled “Santa! Music Celebrating the Man in the Red Coat” on November 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. in the Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre.
The Penn State Harrisburg campus band, choir, and jazz ensemble will be featured.
Admission to the concerts is free and open to the public.
