Kulkarni Cultural Series announces fall shows at Penn State Harrisburg

Shows include Italian folk music ensemble Alla Boara, contemporary dance company Ballet Nepantla, and 'Yesterday & Today: Beatles Interactive Experience'

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — The Kulkarni Cultural Series at Penn State Harrisburg will present a lineup of fall shows that invite guests to stroll through Italy with folk ensemble Alla Boara; experience a dance journey through Mexico with Ballet Nepantla; and help shape a one-of-a-kind concert featuring their favorite Beatles tunes.

All shows will be held in the Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre on campus. Seating is general admission. Ticket information can be found at the theater box office.

Sept. 19: Alla Boara

“A Stroll Through Italy with Alla Boara” will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19.

Guests are invited to experience Alla Boara, the acclaimed ensemble reimagining traditional Italian folk songs through jazz-inspired arrangements, rich vocals and vivid storytelling.

Blending old-world roots with a fresh contemporary sound, Alla Boara creates a concert experience that is joyful, culturally rich and deeply engaging.

The show is a partnership with the Susquehanna Folk Music Society. The concert will be followed by a meet-and-greet reception with gelato and cannoli, sponsored by Alumni Relations.

Oct. 1: Ballet Nepantla

At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, New York-based contemporary dance company Ballet Nepantla will present Sin Fronteras, a visually dazzling journey through Mexico and the many spaces between cultures.

Fusing Mexican folklórico, contemporary ballet, and West African dance, this powerful program features selections from several of the ensemble’s most popular shows. Attendees will enjoy an unforgettable celebration of movement, heritage and cultural connection.

Oct. 15: Yesterday & Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience

At 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, Come together for a one-of-a-kind Beatles experience where the audience helps shape the show. Attendees submit their favorite Beatles songs and the personal stories behind them, creating a unique setlist for every performance. Guests are invited to sing along, relive the memories and enjoy a high-energy concert that brings generations together.
