MALVERN, Pa. — Penn State Great Valley's Henry Art Gallery will host the exhibit "Our House is on Fire" from Oct. 21 to Dec. 18. Guests may register for the opening reception here, which will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

The exhibit celebrates the power of art to inspire environmental action and advocate for a greener, healthier future. Artists are often inspired by nature and create art out of outstanding natural beauty. The five artists who contributed to this exhibit see a need to advocate for harnessing imagination, wealth and technology to make their communities and country greener and healthier places for everyone to live.

In response to the Supreme Court's decision to curtail the powers of the Environmental Protection Agency to reduce emissions, the artists created works that call for clean air, clean water, clean energy, open spaces and a livable climate for future generations. Linda Dubin GarfieldFran Lightman GibsonPamela TudorElsa Wachs and Chantal Westby present works in their own visual language that interpret catastrophic times and strive to create an appreciation for natural beauty and a concern for its preservation.
